The MIXITIES series is all about imaginary townships, factories, harbours, islands, made of odds and ends, symptoms of an uncontroled urbanization, which question
the place that take (or grant themselves?) humans in nature.
Halfway between figurative and abstract art, I try to find poetry and harmony, where you don’t expect it. Are these new uncontrolled, unreasonable, exponentially drifting
spaces not also objects of poetry?
To illustrate these questions, I sometimes like to recycle and divert raw materials: newspapers, collages, metals, fabrics (…) blur the codes of traditional painting and
invite the viewer to wonder what he is really looking at : painting or construction?
Reality or imaginary? Horizon or depth? Dimension or perspective?
These original material effects cause a new, original look, bordering on reality, on our environment and our condition. A new universe where everyone can write his own
story.

The Compoliths are a series of small formats framed under glass. They are composed of monoprints (unique prints) cut on paper. Each copy is therefore unique. These aerial and yet mineral compositions evoke unknown, serene landscapes with powerful graphic lines.
